Positive thinking leads to positive results, negative ones give negative results

Colin Guest the author of “Follow in the Tigerman’s Footsteps, is a 74 yr old Englishman who loves writing. His memoir gets its name from his love of Tigers, with his adopting one for the past ten years from Care for the Wild/Born Free.

Colin’s working life started with his doing a five-year apprenticeship as a joiner/shopfitter in Plymouth, Devon, England. This led to an early start in first traveling around England on numerous projects, before working on two projects abroad. Due to a back injury causing him and his late wife to be put in serious financial difficulties, he began working as an expat. This he then did for the next 19 years and lived a life most only dream about.

He had such an incredible working life that he decided others could learn from his experiences. Although a memoir, Follow in the Tigerman's Footsteps, sub-titled The Adventurous Life of an Expat, reads more like an adventure story and covers incidents that occurred during working as an expat in 15 countries. These were mainly high-class projects, including a number of five-star hotels and several palaces. Two of these were for the Sultan of Brunei, who at the time was the richest man in the world. During this time, the author experienced numerous crazy, exciting adventures as well as some life threatening ones, all mixed up with a blend of humor.

Colin had an article published in a newspaper in his hometown of Plymouth, Devon, England, carried out a one hour podcast re his memoir, with a video recording of one chapter read on Novels Wild Festival.

He also wrote “An Expats Experiences of Living in Turkey,” published by Amazon Kindle, and had one article published in ExpatNetwork, a UK expat magazine. Over twelve of his articles have been published in online magazines, including Escape Artist, Escape from America, ExpatNetwork, Expats Focus, and Global living.

Readers will discover that there is far more to life than a boring 9-5 job, and that by being positive, can climb back up from the pits of despair and into the driving seat of their  life.
